Hailed by the prestigious international music journal Pipeline Magazine as "one of the greatest surf bands of all time," Jon & The Nightriders rediscovered and reintroduced the authentic 'instro' or instrumental surf music in 1979 with lead guitarist John Blair now recognized as the idiom's most visible and sought-after virtuoso whom Vintage Guitar Magazine called "the Segovia of Surf Music."

A virtual `who's who' of modern surf and alternative musics, Jon & The Nightriders also features rhythm
guitarist and Slacktone's founder Dave Wronski on guitar, Dick Dale bassist Sam Bolle, and drummer Dallon Smith.

The first surf instrumental band to launch regular European tours and the first modern surf unit invited to perform at the legendary Rendezvous Reunion concert honoring the surf music mecca of the 1960s, Jon & The Nightriders will perform a series of ferocious guitar-driven instrumentals from their seminal early years through their classic Moving Target CD, which garnered the 2000 Best Instrumental Album award by Pipeline Magazine, and tracks from the newly-released CD Undercover.
